Description
KIS Silicone Contact Layer is an open-mesh, soft silicone dressing that allows exudate to pass through to the secondary dressing. This contact layer is designed for the management of dry to moderately exuding wounds. Soft and comfortable silicone contact layer.
Benefits:
- Comfortable, conforming silicone that minimises pain at dressing change or removal
- Larger perforations allow exudate to pass through the mesh easily
- Can be used in combination with topical treatments/ hydrogel
- May be used in conjunction with negative pressure wound therapy
- Can be left on the wound for up to 14 days
- Able to be cut to size
- Open mesh enables moderate to high volumes of exudate to pass through into the secondary dressing
Indications:
- Skin tears
- Pressure injuries
- Leg and foot ulcers
- Traumatic wounds
- Surgical wounds
- Donor sites
- Burns (superficial & partial thickness)
- The dressing can also be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels
Contraindications:
- Do not use this product on patients with known sensitivity to any components of the product
- Do not use KIS Silicone Wound Contact Layer together with an oxidising agent such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide
